What is Impetus?
Impetus is an AI coach built for ADHD brains. It's not another to-do list — it helps you actually start the thing you've been avoiding, breaks tasks into a doable first step, sits with you through a focus session, and keeps track of your life so you don't have to hold it all in your head.
How is it different from a to-do app?
A to-do app gives you a list and walks away. Impetus talks with you, figures out the real next step, protects your focus while you do it, and doesn't shame you when your brain won't cooperate. The list is a byproduct — the coaching is the point.
Is it free?
The core is free. A future Impetus Plus subscription will lift usage limits and unlock the full focus shield, but the essentials — your coach, tasks, and focus tools — stay free.
Do I have to connect Google?
No. Everything core works without it. If you choose to connect Google, Impetus can read your Gmail and Calendar (read-only) to help with things you ask for in the app. It can draft an email for you to send yourself — it never sends email on your behalf. You can disconnect any time in Settings.
Is my data safe? Do you sell it?
No, we never sell your data. Your account is secured through Apple or Google sign-in (or email), and your content is yours. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
What devices does it run on?
iPhone/iPad (iOS) and Android. Your account and data sync across your devices.
How do I sign in?
Sign in with Apple, continue with Google, or create an account with your email and a password — whatever you prefer.
How do I cancel or delete my account?
You can disconnect Google any time under Settings. To delete your account and all associated data, email info@getimpetus.app and we'll handle it.
